Wirral Christian Centre information

Information about the Wirral Christian Centre, an Elim Pentecostal Church is run by the Reverend Paul Epton.

Situated in the town of Birkenhead, near Liverpool, The Wirral Christian Centre (known to many as the WCC) is an Elim church that has continued to struggle to hold onto its congregation of just a few since its inception more than 30 years ago. Repeated failures to expand and realise 'visions' from God have brought into question the enduring leadership of Pastor Paul Epton who will in all likelihood hand the 'family business' over to his son Greg Epton upon his retirement.

Paul Epton's style of leadership, first detailed in his book 'Love in Action', has often lead to him and the church becoming embroiled in ugly contreversies which have arguably damaged his reputation and that of the church. Hopes were high that with the introduction of younger leadership team members the church would be able to correct its seemingly wayward course, however the signs are not encouraging.
